The Wagonga Princess

Quite possibly the oldest commercially operating vessel in Australia, our Wagonga Princess was built in Sydney in 1905. Made of Huon Pine, she was designed to be a ferry for the Kalimna Guest House (Lakes Entrance Victoria). Her name was originally ‘Kalimna’.
The Wagonga Princess is electrically powered by solar and has a carrying capacity of 32 passengers and is AMSA classified 1E survey.
You can visit a similar electric cruising vessel, the EMV Rubeena
in Sale, Victoria.
We also recommend the award-winning Lake Burley Griffin Cruises in Canberra.

She is adorned as a national treasure with a model been built of her and displayed at the Sydney Model Boat Show in 2012. She has also been nominated to be placed on the Australian Register of Historic Vessels managed by Australian National Maritime Museum
